Skin type is important as it determines the settings on the laser.  The lower the skin type, the higher the settings on the laser that can be used as there is a lower risk of absorption of surface melanin which can lead to burning of the skin.  The diode laser that Lower Salford Laser uses is approved for all 6 skin types.
